XWiki has contributed, since January 2007, to the NEPOMUK - FP6-027705 - European research project through a 2 year agreement with EDGE-IT, an enterprise of the Mandriva company.

NEPOMUK brings together researchers, industrial software developers, and representative industrial users, to develop a comprehensive solution for extending the personal desktop into a collaboration environment. The environment supports personal information management, sharing and exchange across social and organizational relations.
